About the project
LNG Canada is a joint venture company comprised of four global energy companies with substantial experience in liquified natural gas (LNG) – Shell, PetroChina, KOGAS and Mitsubishi Corporation. Together, we are proposing to design, build and operate an LNG export terminal in Kitimat, British Columbia.
Why it matters
Having received all permitting and approvals, Canada LNG is one of the most likely LNG projects to receive FID in the near future. Like other similar size LNG project (two trains), Canada LNG will employ between 4,000 and 7,000 workers at peak construction, and over 400 full time during operation, millions of dollars in wages, billions in taxes and royalties.
