PCA Congratulates UCP on its Majority Election Victory in Alberta
The Progressive Contractors Association of Canada (PCA) whose member companies build and maintain many of Alberta’s major capital and infrastructure projects, congratulates Danielle Smith and the UCP on winning a majority in the Alberta provincial election.
“We are delighted that the UCP will continue to stand up for Albertans and our crucial natural resources sector,” said Paul de Jong, president of PCA. “We strongly believe this is the party that will best serve our province, and advance the interests of our members.”
The UCP ran on a compelling platform that emphasizes lower taxes, a business-friendly environment, a focus on worker training and development and a strong pro-resource development philosophy along with strengthening investment in the expanding renewables sector
“We look forward to continuing to work with the UCP to address the critical labour shortage by removing barriers to skills training, and building Alberta’s diverse construction workforce and labour models, all of which are crucial to strengthening our economy and maximizing the Alberta advantage,” added de Jong.
