Appropriately named “Meeting the Challenge,” Alberta Budget 2025 was tabled today. It includes a promised tax cut, a projected $5.2 billion deficit, and projections of slower growth and sliding scale revenue losses, depending on when and if U.S. tariffs go into effect on Canadians imports.

“In the face of so much global uncertainty, we’re pleased this government recognizes the value of building infrastructure by making ongoing capital investments,” said Paul de Jong, President and CEO of the Progressive Contractors Association of Canada (PCA). “Our members stand at the ready to help showcase the “Alberta advantage” by getting major projects built that employ thousands of Canadians and support our communities.”
