We’d like to thank Prime Minister Trudeau for his many years of public service and for making a difficult decision that we believe is in the best interests of Canadians. As Canada heads into critical, complex discussions with the U.S. around potential tariffs, it is imperative that these discussions are led by someone that has the confidence of Canadians.

At PCA, we believe the time has come for a change in federal policies that impact Canada’s construction industry. We oppose policies and programs that give special treatment to the government’s favored unions, like the Clean Economy Investment Tax Credit plan (ITC) that requires some companies and unions to renegotiate existing collective bargaining agreements in order to qualify for the full tax credit.

At PCA, we know that all Canadians benefit from a truly competitive construction industry. Ensuring that all qualified contractors can bid on publicly-funded projects maximizes the value to Canadians on every public dollar invested in infrastructure, from highways to hospitals.

As Canada grapples with a massive infrastructure deficit, now is the time to work with elected officials whose goal is to put the public interest first, and get these critical projects built.
